Operating Microscopes

In addition to digital radiography, we utilize special operating microscopes. Magnification and fiber optic illumination are critical in aiding the doctor to see tiny details inside your tooth. Also, a tiny video camera on the operating microscope can record images of your tooth to further document the doctor's findings.  Microscopes are essential for providing state of the art endodontics.

Apex Locators

A key to quality endodontics is the ability to measure the lengths of the root canals. Traditionally they required multiple x-rays. Today it is done with an electric apex locator which is more accurate and reduces radiation.

Ultrasonics

Very fine tipped instruments vibrating at a very high frequency allow the endodontic specialist to remove broken instruments and large posts  and are used in conjunction with the operating microscope to locate fine calcified canals.
