Specifically, from November 16 to November 18, Formula 1 racers will compete in the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix, marking the first time since 1982 that Sin City will host such an event.

The last time Formula 1 racers competed in Las Vegas was during the 1982 Caesars Palace Grand Prix. Decades later, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will pit drivers against one another on a new street track. The schedule for the Las Vegas Grand Prix is as follows:

 

  • Thursday, November 16: Practice race between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm
  • Friday, November 17: Practice race between 12:00 am and 1:00 am, followed by an additional practice race between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm
  • Saturday, November 18: Qualifying race between 12:00 am and 1:00 am
  • Sunday, November 19: Official race beginning at 10:00 pm

  • The track is approximately 3.8 miles in length
  • Drivers may potentially reach an estimated top speed of 212 mph
